✨Happy New Year!✨

Firstly we would like to take this opportunity to wish you all a very happy New Year and hope you all had a relaxing and peaceful time over the festive period.

Thank you for all your support during 2024. This has allowed us to continue to deliver services to the Barra & Vatersay community and to those who visit our islands.

Our activities throughout 2024 included –

• Tuesday morning preschool children sessions in the garden each week
• Weekly messy play sessions for babies and tots on Thursday mornings in partnership with the Barra Childrens Centre
• Singing group open to all on Thursday afternoons
• Health walks & gentle movement classes on Fridays
• Café specials – Burns Supper & Curry Night
• Volunteering events – Cheese & wine evening, mince pie & mulled wine evening
• Plant sales in Eriskay & North Uist
• Gardening classes in partnership with UHI
• Lifelong learning skills & crafts with UHI
• Community food larder in partnership with Barra Childrens Centre
• Over 15,000 teas/lunches served
• Delivering thousands of volunteer hours tending the gardens growing and gathering crops for local sale
• Producing hundreds of jars of chutney and jams made from harvested crops from the gardens
• Making the island beautiful with community planters
• Breakfast with Santa event
• Christmas wreath making workshops
